The following was my 'End of Term' report sent to you originally on 23rd July.
My starting weight was 100kg (15st 10.5lbs)
End weight was 93kg (14st 9lbs)
Total loss=7% of start weight.
I did not go to the Gym but increased my walking speed and distance. The healthy eating plan was easy to follow and at no time did I feel hungry, eating correctly throughout the day.
Doctor check ups at the start and at the end of the 8 week lifestyle challenge were well received, being praised not only for weight loss but also for 'inch' loss around waist which is an indicator of health issues in men of my age.
I feel fitter, appear to have greater reserves of energy and am pleased with the way I now look. Before and after photos can be seen on Oystermouth Radio's social media.
Comments made by colleagues, work mates, friends and family have all been positive. Toward the end of the 8 week challenge, my wife and I were surprised with a 30th wedding anniversary party, guests that we see regularly and those we've not seen for a while commented on how well I was looking and noted the weight loss in my face and from my waistline.
I now wear clothing of a smaller size, much of which I've owned for a number of years, and I feel very comfortable in doing so, despite the Fashion Police (don't worry it'll come back into vogue)
Thanks Non for the incentive, the plan and the support. Although officially having completed the 8 week period, much of the eating plan will stay with me to ensure I can maintain where I am and continue to adopt a healthier and more beneficial lifestyle.
Since the end of July I have relaxed the plan but have kept to a good number of the principles in both food and exercise (Still no gym). I still find I have more energy throughout the day and take snacks from fruit rather than cake or chocolate, portion sizes are smaller and when occasionally I do have a larger meal I find I can't finish it. I still walk more than I used to and have even thought I may need a new pair of trainers.
I haven't weighed myself recently as I was using the scales at my Doctors as standard and he has told me he doesn't need to see me until next year for a routine check up, I suspect I have gained a little bit since ending the plan on the 23rd July.
Thanks again for your help.
